Exemptions for Children

Thanks to the initiative of Dr. Löw, a pediatrician from Germany who visited us in 2019, and with the help of numerous generous donations, we were able to launch the "Exemptions for Children" project.

Through this project, children whose parents cannot afford medical examinations or treatments are provided access to funds in a straightforward manner upon medical recommendation. This project is especially important and beneficial for children from impoverished families, neglected children, and orphans.

Children with chronic diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, diabetes or kidney failure also benefit from this project. Children with serious injuries, for example as a result of crocodile bites, traffic accidents or falling from a coconut tree, also benefit.

The project funds can be used to finance necessary examinations (e.g. ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan or laboratory tests), treatments (e.g. medication, operations or dialysis treatment), the costs of hospitalization, transport costs in the event of a transfer, etc.
Up to 500 children per year have been benefitting from the project and in many cases the help was  life-saving.
