Who we are
St. Benedict Ndanda Referral Hospital is well known in the whole Southern part of Tanzania. It is a faith-based organisation and part of the apostolic activities of Ndanda Abbey.
Our aim is to provide quality health care services to all patients, irrespective of faith and socio-economical status.
Our team consists of 345 workers, comprising 15 specialists and superspecialists, 15 Medical Doctors (MD), 3 Assistant Medical Doctors (AMO), 22 Intern Doctors and 120 nurses (2022). Patients come from regions as far as Mozambique, Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar. For inpatients we provide 300 official beds in 12 wards. Per year we are treating more than 80,000 outpatients and more than 7,000 inpatients.
We offer basic and specialized services using modern methods and equipment.
Our goal is to provide quality healthcare services for the lowest price possible.
Patients who wish exclusive services may opt for treatment on our Private Ward. Income generated in this area helps us to subsidize prices for patients with low socio-economical status.
